The Old Sheldon Church Ruins, located just outside of Beaufort in Yemassee, SC along Old Sheldon Church Road, was originally known as Prince William’s Parish Church. Exactly as it happened a hundred years before during the Revolutionary War in 1779, when General Prevost, marching from Savannah into South Carolina burned the Church, during the Civil War in February 1865, General Sherman marched from Georgia into South Carolina, and burned it a second time.

Living in the small town beach community of Amelia Island on the East Coast of Florida, I'm inspired by the sound of the waves crashing, smelling the salty sea air and the pure joy of being able to dig my toes in the sand while searching for sharks teeth along the water's edge.
