Description
The enormous live oak tree is thought to have greeted Spanish explorers when they first came to Daufuskie Island. The Gullah house was constructed in 1925 for Moses Ficklin who was the Gullah undertaker for the island. It's been said that he always had a supply of $100 caskets on hand.
